Hi there! I’m Eden.
Let’s start with the basics – I’m 29-years-old, a Christian, and I am married with two beautiful boys who are 5 and 3. They are a handful. Let’s call them Mark and Luke, since I don’t really feel comfortable putting their real names on the internet. My husband, I’ll call him Adam, since his is my first and only man. We were high school sweethearts. We grew up in the same church together, our parents were friends and we would spend time together every Sunday afternoon either at his house or at mine. It was truly a union formed by God, it was so obvious that we were supposed to be married and as soon as we finished our first year of college, we did it! That was 10 years ago today. Now I am a stay-at-home mom with a degree in women’s studies (yes, Christian women can be feminists, too!) and Adam is just about to join a Christian medical practice. We are so blessed and I thank God every day for allowing me to be at home with my children while they are young.
Yes, today is our 10th anniversary! We are celebrating with our families and then we leave the children with grandma and grandpa and Adam and I will spend a nice, quiet night alone together. Oh, in case you saw Christian and thought that meant that we’re boring, you guessed wrong. Christianity has gotten a bad reputation for being very anti-sex, but the fact is, I could state scripture after scripture where God has told us very clearly that he does want us to enjoy a sexual relationship, but that it has to remain sacred within the confines of our marriage.
So off I go to make everything perfect. Today just seemed like the perfect day to start this new blog.
